FunSail's Introductory training courses are delivered in one 8 hour day training session boarding at 8am from Mooloolaba and returning by 4pm that afternoon.

All other courses are conducted during voyages from Mooloolaba to Fraser Island, Moreton Bay or The Whitsunday Islands and return. In the case of the Whitsundays voyage, you have the choice of returning on board Sofala for the delivery trip back to Mooloolaba or to catch a flight from either Airlie Beach or Hamilton Island to your home airport at your cost. The return trip from Hamilton Island to Mooloolaba is a great opportunity to build your sea time and benefit from one on one sail coaching on the way. The cost of the return trip is $2,640 including provisions and GST.

Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine coast is perfect for one day sailing courses. The Sunshine Coast airport is well serviced by the leading national airlines and is located a short drive from Mooloolaba. All classes of accommodation support the huge numbers of tourists who visit the coast throughout the year.

Courses are conducted over two, three, four or five day trips from Mooloolaba to the beautiful waterways and anchorages of Moreton Bay.

Offshore courses to The Great Sandy Straits take from four to five days. This is one of the most beautiful sailing areas on the Sunshine Coast.

10 Days and nine nights - We depart Mooloolaba on a Friday night and sail to The Whitsunday Islands. FunSail conducts sail training on the way. Usually there are two overnight sails, two nights at good quality marinas and six overnight stopovers at beautiful island or coastal anchorages. This trip is conducted during the winter months from May to October to take advantage of the steady south east trade winds and smooth seas which provide fast and exhilarating sailing.  You can decide to return with us on the delivery back to Mooloolaba to build your sea miles or you can catch a plane from The Whitsundays back to your home airport if you cannot spare the time off work for the return voyage.
