Overview

This course includes 10 full days at sea living on board Sofala. Having developed your competencies to the level of Inshore Skipper, this training program extends your sailing skills to enable you to take responsibility of a vessel in open waters and in all types of visibility.

Enrolment Conditions

Yachting Australia Inshore Skipper Certificate. If you have not completed this certificate course but believe that you have equivalent knowledge and skills then you can apply to FunSail for recognition of your prior learning.

Learning Outcome

Successful candidates will be able to safely take charge of a recreational sailing vessel within 100 nautical miles of a coastline.
