Overview
This
course includes everything you need to know to be a useful crew on a cruising
yacht.
Certification
On
successful completion you will receive a Yachting Australia Competent Crew
Certificate.
How the
Course is Delivered
This course is delivered over five days on board our beautiful 37' sail training
vessel Sofala. You can choose to attend the course over a series of seven hour
day sails in the Coral Sea from Mooloolaba Harbour or two long weekends away to
Moreton Bay or a five day return voyage to The Great Sandy Straits.
Cost
The cost
is $1,320 including GST, YA Certificate on successful completion, YA Log Book
and FunSail Lesson plan and course notes. Additional costs apply for provisions
when living on board Sofala.
Enrolment Conditions
Applicants must have already completed FunSail's Yachting Australia Introductory
Certificate or an equivalent course. Smoking is not permitted on board Sofala at
any time. You must be physically able to move safely around the vessel at sea.
If you have a disability of any kind it is important that you make us aware of
it at the time of applying for the course so that we can provide for you in a
way that ensures your safety and comfort as well as that of all others on board.
